The Loving Amber Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) charitable organization founded in memory of Amber Wakefield, our beloved daughter and sister who passed away from aplastic anemia at age 18.
The foundation raises funds and awareness for children and families impacted by rare bone marrow diseases and blood disorders. It is funded by grants, donations from friends and family, proceeds from the Madelyn & Barley and Madelyn’s House brands, and corporate matching.
Our efforts funded The Amber Lynn Wakefield Research Grant in partnership with The Aplastic Anemia and MDS International Foundation.
Loving Amber Foundation also supports causes that make a difference in the lives of critically ill patients and their families. We are proud to to give back to Make-a-Wish San Diego and Rady Children’s Hospital in gratitude for the difference that they made during Amber’s illness.
